Dr. Manuel Benítez is the Head of the Tax Department at Konsell Abogados y Asesores, where he leads advisory services in international and domestic taxation. A member of the Seville Bar Association (No. 15,898) and a qualified economist, he has been professionally associated with Konsell since 2018, currently providing his expertise as an independent senior consultant.

He holds a joint degree in Law and Business Management from the University of Córdoba, an LL.M. in Advocacy from the University of Cádiz, and an LL.M. in Tax Advisory from FUECA. He also earned a Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Tax from the University of Gibraltar. In 2022, he completed his PhD in International Tax Law at the University of Cádiz, focusing on the tax residence of individuals.

In addition to his professional practice, Manuel teaches on the Master’s programmes in Tax Advisory and International Taxation at the International University of La Rioja. His academic work is complemented by numerous publications in scientific journals, including contributions to International Tax Studies (IBFD) and Contabilidad y Tributación (CEF), addressing issues such as tax treaty efficiency, international mobility, and the legal framework governing taxation in Gibraltar.

A native Spanish speaker, he uses English as his working language in international advisory and academic contexts, and has functional reading and speaking skills in French.

Alongside his collaboration with Konsell, Manuel has also gained experience for some years in the tax departments of Ernst & Young and Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia Abogados, focusing on international tax matters.
